Do not be deceived by some aquatic animals’ charming appearances, such as seals or penguins, because it has been established that when these species are on dry ground, they may be quite dangerous to people. In the water, however, this is not the case!
A video posted on social media by a group of divers who had the opportunity to dive into the seas off Argentina’s coast demonstrates how friendly and lively seals can be in the sea, especially when they are young.
These species are perhaps more fragile on land, but in the sea, they are a tremendous delight for those with good intentions who approach them with the purpose of getting closer to them and enjoying their unusual company.
Three divers are intercepted by an inquisitive and restless newborn seal in the film, which was shot near Puerto Madryn, Argentina. He approaches the young man filming the event first, not just to bite his visor, but also to show him an extraordinary gesture of devotion.
That’s true, the small seal pounces on one of the young people’s mouths and gives him a nice kiss, which has gone viral on the Internet, garnering millions of views and comments.
The seal moves away after their kiss, only to mingle with the other two persons in the video. We can see how the divers are actually surrounded by friendly seals that approach them gently and with great interest in a more open shot.
It’s hardly surprising that visitors to this part of the Argentine coast are greeted so warmly by the local species, as Puerto Madryn is known for its enormous population of sea lions, penguins, whales, and dolphins.
Seals, often known as sea dogs, have been shown to be among the most gregarious and playful aquatic creatures. There are several films demonstrating how they frequently approach humans out of curiosity, to play, or even to ask for assistance.
